If you want to enjoy the game at its fullest you should at least try to make that empire. I have played X3 so many ways but ultimately if you want the best of teh game you make a fleet of traders and try to create a working trade environment. X3 without traders is a whole different game. Reputation? By doing missions or simply telling CLS to buy one ware and sell one ware at the same station (so he doesnt fly anywhere) will get your rep up quicker. Credits? There are other ways to make credits and quicker than with any trader or even a fleet of traders. Im not picking on you, im just wondering why people have traders? That way you avoid the loss of your wandering autotraders Originally posted by mmmcheesywaffles:TC is better imho if you are simply wanting to experiment with the massive empire building. Remember the First Law of X is Save, save and save again. First though try salvaging a few Terran Baldrics from the War Sectors to provide you with extra guns and a mobile storage space so you can trade larger quantities. Takes a bit of patience but learn to Barter and take exotic goods in small amounts. then AP is your best choice - try playing the Terran start and get your own Ketana, though you will need to salvage a lot to pay for the needed upgrades and guns.ĭon't wander into unauthorised areas, but do trade with the stations all the way past Oort belt. If you are playing the game for the fights. TC is better imho if you are simply wanting to experiment with the massive empire building. The War Sectors make for a very different game than TC, however, I like to play as Terran so having that option in AP makes it my preferred game atm I have more than 10k hours in TC and about 1100 in AP. With over 2000 hours of X3 AP, and only 41 hours of X3 TC, you can imagine which one I prefer.but there are some that got over 10,000 hours and that seem to say something.īut unless you view the videos and decide for yourself which only you can do.nobody can tell you that you will like it.or enjoy it's beautiful space and the evil Xenons. X3 Terran Conflict is different, its more of a combat type of game. There is many mods to help enhance the gameplay, not many bugs, but there isn't a good instruction from the game unless you watch the videos of what other players have done and they do explain alot of how the game is played and what you can expect while playing. The game is basically long and enduring space combat, trader, and anything you can do in space.except land on planets. There are many reviews about this series and there are videos of how to play them, google CDRDave for a starter course of the X3 Alibon Prelube, How to play it. You're gonna hear the good with the bad and as with any game, not every game is designed for everybody. You got close to 800 games and you need a review on the X series?
